Betsy,

Thanks for the wonderful summaries of the sessions at the Georgia Organics conference. I'm glad you were able to experience the amazing community behind the good food movement.

By the way, my partner has Celiac, so we are trying to make sure that our meals and Farmers Feast have plenty of options. Amazingly, ten percent of attendees were vegetarians, so I'm hoping they were happier this year with our menu and food sourcing.

Love the great post - I was unable to attend the conference so I especially appreciated your descriptions - it's great to hear that there are so many people working toward's greater public health through changing our ways of producing food.

Thanks for your enthusiasm, Chili T! Slow Food Atlanta is a great way to be involved locally and hear about great community events. Wholesome Wave Foundation also offers information about getting good food to people in low income areas. I think that one of the best ways to start getting good food in people's mouths is by pressuring our local governments to get good, healthy, fresh food in schools. This will make our children healthier, support local farmers, and decrease our carbon footprint. Doesn't that sound great?
Would love to have your man power on my farm someday!
