Beautiful entry Betsy--probably the best thing I've ever read on a food blog. A wonderful reminder of the greater importance and meaning of--and reason why--we do the cooking we do. The conference sounds amazing--thanks for posting all this information.

Sharing meals is such an intimate and spiritual experience, and I think one of the things I love most is sharing that sacred space and time with friends and family. The focus becomes the sharing with others, and both mind and body are healed.

Other thoughts that come to mind...communion, the last supper...we are certainly made in the image of God and intended for such beautiful purpose.

Thanks, Betsy. YOUR blog is daily nourishment for me!
